What We Do

The College of Performing and Visual Arts Advising Center is your resource for academic advising and degree requirements. Our team of advising staff helps you navigate our major, minor and certificate programs. You’ll also have faculty advisors assigned to you according to major, concentration, instrument or studio area.

Whether you're a first-year, transfer, or continuing student, we are here to help you hit the ground running and reach your goals. From academic advising to orientation support, we’ll make sure you have the tools, resources, and guidance you need to succeed from day one.

First-Year Student?

You’ll meet your advisor and register for classes during New Student Orientation.

Continuing Student?

You can find your assigned academic advisor(s) in Degree Works.

See the Find Your Advisor section above to book your appointment. The PVA Advising Form should be completed before you come. Your Academic Advisor will give you your PIN to register and review your plan for next semester. If you have a dual advising model, consider filling out your form with your Faculty Advisor or checking in over email.
