About

Nestled between the Rocky Mountains and the High Plains, the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï is a vibrant, student-focused, service-oriented institution.

ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï is a public doctoral research institution that combines high-quality academics with hands-on learning and a personalized approach.

Teaching is in our DNA

Founded as a teacher’s college in 1889, we’ve graduated more education professionals than any other university in Colorado. This deep dedication to teaching is seen across campus with expert faculty members who love teaching and put students first. Here, your professors know you by name.

ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï is also a top choice for health sciences students. We have a nationally ranked nursing program and a world-class cancer rehabilitation center. In 2026, we’ll open our College of Osteopathic Medicine.

ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï offers many popular programs in statistics, psychology, communications, criminal justice, data science, health sciences  and, of course, teaching to prepare students for some of the most in-demand jobs in the nation. An All-Steinway School, ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï is also home to a renowned College of Performing and Visual Arts with faculty from around the world — and Little Theater of the Rockies, the oldest theater of its kind west of the Mississippi.
