Audition Required
All students planning to major in Musical Theatre are required to submit an additional application to the School.

The degree requires 120 credit hours, including:
- Liberal Arts Curriculum — 31 credits
- Required Major — 89 credits
- University Wide Credits – 0-3 credits

ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï’s Musical Theatre B.F.A. is one of the nation’s top training grounds for stage and screen. Our graduates perform on Broadway, in national tours, and in film and television. With intensive training in acting, voice, and dance, plus countless opportunities to perform, you will graduate ready for a professional career in show business.
You will train in all three disciplines—acting, singing, and dancing—through a carefully sequenced curriculum. Classes build your technical foundation, while performance labs and productions put those skills to work on stage. From your very first year, you’ll have the chance to audition for mainstage musicals, plays, and concerts, gaining the real-world experience that sets ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï students apart.

From your first year, you can audition for mainstage musicals, plays, dance concerts, and student-directed productions. With multiple shows each season, you’ll gain the stage experience needed to step into the professional world.

Classes focus on audition techniques, professional readiness, and portfolio development. By graduation, you’ll have the skills and experience to launch a career in musical theatre and related performance industries.

School of Theatre Arts and Dance
Outside of class, you will join an active community of performers, creators, and collaborators. ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï’s School of Theatre Arts and Dance produces multiple mainstage shows every year, giving you regular opportunities to practice your craft in front of live audiences. Combined with our supportive environment and reputation for excellence, these experiences make ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï a launching pad for careers in the performing arts.

Study Abroad in Iceland
Each January, Musical Theatre students have the chance to study abroad in ReykjavÃk through a two-week program at the Iceland University of the Arts. You’ll collaborate with Icelandic theatre students, explore new creative approaches, and gain an international perspective on performance while experiencing the country’s rich artistic culture.
