The ÍøÆسԹϒs Adopt-A-Spot Program started in 2008 with the goal of fostering civic engagement and campus pride. Since then, ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï students, faculty and staff have participated by adopting areas of campus and performing litter control, assisting with spring planting and maintaining flower beds.
This year, ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï campus community members are invited to continue this initiative by partnering with ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Facilities to assist in enhancing ÍøÆسԹϒs campus landscape.
Graham Nugent, director of Athletic Events and Facilities at ÍøÆسԹÏ, said, “It’s something that you can take so much pride in, watching the flowers grow and making the campus prettier. I like to see other parts of campus who adopt a spot but am looking forward to showing off our new look going into the spring.”
As ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï begins to take a fresh look at campus beautification projects this spring, the Adopt-A-Spot Program offers a chance for the Bear community to get dirty, build relationships and embrace campus in new ways.
