Office of Health Promotion
Office
The Office of Health Promotion provides wellness education about responsible substance use, mental health resources, and comprehensive sexual health education. Through health promotion and awareness, we equip ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï students with the necessary tools to make safer decisions to create a healthy campus experience for all.
ÍøÆسԹÏ
Coming to ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï this Fall: Radical Health!
This 4-week, peer-led experience helps students make friends and build connections with other students. Students who choose to participate in the program will:
- Meet once per week for four weeks with a small group of peers to talk about college life, well-being, and ways to build lasting friendships.
- Learn skills from returning ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï students about how to succeed in college and manage stress.
Our fall groups will start the week of September 14 and meet weekly for about 75 minutes. There is no cost for this program. It is designed for students who are new to ÍøÆسԹÏ, but returning students can also sign up.
Want to learn more? Check out this about the project.
While Radical Health is new to ÍøÆسԹÏ, it has been adopted at many colleges across the US. 89% of Radical Health participants say they would recommend the program to other students.
The top five skills students report learning in the group include
- Stress management
- Self-care
- Time/energy management
- Self-awareness
- Active listening and communication
Some Radical Health groups will be connected to specific identities (e.g., graduate students, student parents, student athletes), while other groups will be more general.
If you think you might be interested in joining a Radical Health group for the fall, just complete . Completing the form does NOT commit you to participation in the Radical Health Project—it just ensures that you will receive more information about the project this fall.
