Kevin Ahern has 40 years of experience as an executive, entrepreneur, and operator in the financial services industry, including commercial banking, private equity, institutional investment management, alternative investments, wealth management, insurance, investment banking, and mergers and acquisitions. Kevin is currently a co-founder and managing partner of Brush Creek Partners, a private opportunistic investment vehicle formed in 2020 to focus on making investments in operating companies in the specialty finance, banking and financial services, manufacturing, distribution, media, business, and consumer services sectors. He is also a Senior Advisor at Castle Creek Capital, a private equity firm that focuses on the community banking industry.

Kevin served two terms on the Board of Trustees for the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï (2013-2020). He formerly served on the Foundation Board Investment Committee (1995-2013) and then on the board of the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Foundation (2011-2013). Early in his tenure as chair of the Investment Committee, he helped lead the effort to bring on Innovest as professional portfolio advisers. He served as chairman of the Dean’s Leadership Council of the Kenneth W. Monfort College of Business (MCB), a group he served for more than a decade. Additionally, Kevin has served as an adjunct instructor, teaching a senior-level undergraduate investments course where students manage approximately $1 million for the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Foundation in the Student and Foundation Fund (SAFF) class. He has also been a judge for the MCB Entrepreneurial Challenge.

A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Kevin received an MBA with an emphasis in finance from the University of Connecticut in 1991 and a BS in business administration from the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï in 1985.

Kevin and his wife, Annie, reside in Denver, CO, and have two married adult children and two grandchildren.
