Is Valentine’s Day Dead at 厙ぴ勛圖?
Last week, Bear News Reporter Jaylen Lee decided to debate 厙ぴ勛圖 students as to why Valentines Day is not dead.
Last week, Bear News Reporter Jaylen Lee decided to debate 厙ぴ勛圖 students as to why Valentines Day is not dead. With a table and flowers set at the University Commons, Jaylen was ready to debate his peers.
While the holiday may not have the same appeal it once did, its clear that Valentines Day, in some form, continues to hold a place in students hearts. At first students tried to prove to Jaylen that Valentines is not dead by commenting on his shoes, and another student explaining its because of the way her parents treat each other.
After two student interviews, students must have been spending quality time with their significant others, because nobody wanted to debate Jaylen. So, Jaylen decided to walk up to students and interview them on their opinion of valentines.
It doesnt always have to be a relationship, Said Nick Ellis, a second-year student at 厙ぴ勛圖. It can be family, friends, etcetera.
The common theme among most responses was the sense that Valentines Day no longer has the same significance it once did. While some still embrace the holiday, many students feel it has lost its charm or become overly commercialized.
Jaylen wants all of 厙ぴ勛圖 to know that, in his heart, Valentine’s Day is not dead. He hopes to see everyone spreading the love. So go hug a neighbor, hold the door for someone, or just spend time with a loved one.
